Dean Allison

Art Brokerage: Dean Allison American Glass Artist: b. 1976. Dean was born in 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. Dean Allison was introduced to glass in 1998 while attending Illinois State University. In 2000, he studied painting at the University of Wolverhampton England. Upon graduation from I.S.U. he followed glass from Chicago to North Carolina to work for a number of glass artists and attend a concentration at the Penland School of Crafts. He has worked as an artist, technician, and instructor at Chicago Hot glass and has worked on numerous commissions nationally and overseas. In 2010 he achieved a Masters of Art in Visual Arts, Glass from the Australian National University in Canberra. His work explores constructions of the figure in reference to portraiture and identity. Dean currently works as the Glass Studio Coordinator at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. Listings wanted.
